In a historical political context that has generated diverse opinions and feelings, we want to address you to remind you of the importance of maintaining calm and unity in these crucial moments for the Netherlands and for our community.
As we all know, elections were recently held in which Geert Wilders and his political party PVV (Freedom Party) won a significant victory.
We understand that these elections have raised various concerns due to the extreme right, anti-EU, anti-migration and anti-Islamic positions that characterize this party.
We want to urge all members of our community to maintain serenity and remember that the democratic process involves not only the results of the votes, but also the formation of a representative government and the necessary dialogue between the different political forces.
It is crucial to highlight that, between the result of the vote and the formation of a government, there will be space for negotiation and agreement between different political formations. This period is critical in determining the direction of this country, and adjustments and changes may occur during these negotiations.
We understand that concerns and questions may arise about the future, but we want to assure you that, as citizens and committed members of this society, we must trust in the democratic process and the ability of institutions to guarantee respect for fundamental rights and values.
