Stichting Venezolaanse Vluchtelingen will take action in the case of the tragic murder of Ronald Ojeda, a political refugee and Venezuelan citizen, by submitting a letter directly to the Chilean Embassy in the Netherlands. 

This movement seeks to highlight the importance of clarifying the facts and requesting protection measures for the relatives of the deceased, underlining the need for justice and security for Venezuelan refugees in Chile and around the world.

In an effort to address the recent murder case of Ronald Ojeda, the Stichting Venezolaanse Vluchtelingen has announced its decision to personally attend the Chilean Embassy in the Netherlands on March 18, 2024. The Board of Directors and Law specialists held a meeting for more than an hour with the Head of the Diplomatic Mission while the bulk of activists and Human Rights defenders exerted social pressure in the exterior of the embassy.This move represents a significant step in the search for justice and protection for Venezuelan refugees, as well as for the family of the deceased.

Ronald Ojeda, a political refugee and Venezuelan citizen, was brutally murdered in circumstances that remain to be clarified. Faced with this scenario, the Stichting Venezolaanse Vluchtelingen has decided to take concrete measures to ensure that justice is done and the necessary protection measures are provided for Ronald Ojeda's loved ones.

The main objective of presenting the letter to the Chilean Embassy in the Netherlands is to request an exhaustive investigation into the case, in order to clarify the facts and bring those responsible to justice. Likewise, the Stichting will emphasize the importance of providing precautionary protection measures for Ronald Ojeda's wife, son and sister, with the purpose of safeguarding his safety and well-being in the midst of this difficult moment.

This action demonstrates the commitment of the Stichting Venezolaanse Vluchtelingen in the defense of human rights and the protection of Venezuelan refugees around the world. By going directly to the Chilean Embassy in the Netherlands, the organization seeks to raise awareness about the need for justice and security for refugees, as well as to promote international cooperation in the fight against impunity and violence.
